Dynamic laser beam deflection solutions for high speed processing

The availability of brilliant high power laser sources opens up new possibilities in the field of laser material processing. So far not weld able material combinations are now joinable. The quality of laser cuts can be improved. The productivity of cutting technologies can be boosted. Surface processes can be up scaled and jump from the laboratory into production surroundings. Beside the laser beam properties and capabilities the fast spot movement is the key for high rate and efficient applications. The utilization of galvanometer scanners and similar deflection units is the approach of Fraunhofer IWS to achieve high velocities between tool and workpiece or for beam property adaptions. The combination of technology mastery, systems know-how and software development is the fundament for successful customer adapted solutions for high speed material processing.
